- 1 to 2 inches fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
- 4 cups (1 liter) filtered or spring water

Instructions

- Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan.
- Add sliced ginger and simmer gently for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and squeeze in lemon juice.
- Optional: stir in honey while warm.
- Strain the mixture and pour into a glass jar or bottle.
- Enjoy warm, or let cool before serving.
- Cold Infusion Method:
- Thinly slice lemon and ginger.
- Place them in a large pitcher with 4 cups cold water.
- Cover and refrigerate for 8–12 hours.
- Stir before serving and consume within 36 hours.
